Drache Nationale
Cie Anoraks [Be]
Juggling & rain
« Drache nationale » is a popular name given to the heavy rain that sometimes falls on Belgium on the national holiday.
Tom, Gaëlle and Denis get together around a question that is essential to them: “How to be positive when everything sucks?” They will try to answer it with a queen in the rain, a slow dance at a first party, the death of a best friend, failed dreams, small victories, the list of the worst shit in the world and above all: juggling.
Nominated for the prize Maeterlinck 2024 (Be) in the category “best circus performance”

The company
Cie Anoraks [Be]
Company Anoraks currently carry the performances Mousse and Drache Nationale. Circus, juggling and clown shows. Shows about the little things that make up everyday life: failures, hesitations, doubts, attempts, small victories, aspirations. Shows to remind us that we don’t need to be heroes to dare to throw ourselves into the void. That you can build your dreams from nothing. And that life is undoubtedly easier to get through when you’re with your friends, around a barbecue and a good beer. Company Anoraks won’t be presenting anything incredibly impressive, but their shows will always be accompanied by great conviction.
In short, company Anoraks puts on shows for the pleasure of sharing a good time together.
In 2021, Gaëlle Coppée received the SACD Prize for the author of a juggled creation in France.
