Circus and clown theatre
In a beehive, the queen of questionable nobility arrives for an emergency union meeting. The bees—the audience—are on strike, demanding a fair redistribution of royal jelly for all the hive… With her valet, the queen must rely on her acrobatic and trapeze skills to navigate the uprising of the common bees and make it through the revolt of the masses.

We are charmed by the wild tango, dizzied by the fierce acrobatics, and left astounded by the clownish antics of Boris, the little working hand. Whimsical and fantastic images abound right up to that final scene, where the queen throws herself into the void. Dance, acrobatics, balancing acts, trapeze, music and humour… What more could you ask for?
A tough blow for this queen of rather unlikely nobility, who will nevertheless not question her managerial practices. Aided by Boris, her totally subservient and much mistreated valet, the queen will lay out her fallacious and provocative arguments through acrobatics on the honeycomb cells of a rope hive, and will even attempt a kind of escape on the trapeze.

La Butineuse (BE)
Lola launches La Butineuse in 2024, bringing under her wing the show To Bee Queen (created in 2021 through Cie Lady Cocktail). A brand new Belgian company, ready to bloom further, to keep spreading its wings. To emerge — fashionably late! Lola settles into this hive, the perfect place for her fearless desire to perform, to share, to question (herself). As always, she has brought along her trapeze, her words, and a few grand splits.
